And brick by brick,
we will get back to yesterday
When I made your body shiver and
when you took my breath away,
you took my breath away.” —
Train
Brick by Brick. Go listen :)
Something I have always wondered is, what makes the heart feel? What is it inside your heart that makes you feel love and lust and heartbreak and happiness. When your heart “breaks”, what is it that causes that feeling of lack of breath and heaviness? Why does your heart skip a beat when you see a certain persons smile, but then it can have no reaction to others? Is all of it just a mere reflection of your past? Do you unknowingly develop these preferences as you age? Or does your mind simply trick your heart into believing it’s broken or sad or happy etc? Is everything we feel in our hearts, just a reaction to what our minds are telling us? Seeing as this crosses my mind ALL THE TIME, I figured I’d share it. Think about it :)
Oh and here’s a mindfuck for ya: When someone gets a heart transplant of a donor, do you think they feel the donors feelings?
Most people would probably say: No that’s stupid, of course not. You’re crazy.
But I personally, don’t see how it’s possible to have someone elses heart and feel completely like yourself again…
If the lies don’t touch you, the truth will
If I can’t love you, then who will
And you’re coming off your chill
When your ego takes a dip
I held your hand, is this the thanks I get
I took you in, is this the thanks I get
Half a chance, the thanks I get
A twist of plans, is this the thanks I get
The day hurts
The night hurts
The light hurts
My eyes hurts
The dark hurts
My heart hurts
It all hurts
I loved you
I loved you
I made you
I hate you
I hate you
I miss you
Miss you
